Totally Ankara.. purely African!!

With Africa naturally being the motherland of beautiful and exquisite things, Having the Ankara effortlessly take over the fashion industry shouldn't come as much of a surprise. "Ankara"  is a very colorful and vibrantly patterned cloth made of 100% cotton or cotton poly material.

Ankara was initially very prominent in West Africa (and still is) but with the dawn of a new decade the style has quickly gained fame having not only spread into the entire African continent but also gaining acclaim in the international market; finding home in various personalities and celebrity figures' closets as well as gracing numerous fashion runways.

The now famed Ankara was normally adorned as a casual everyday wear...today however the style has become a preserve for social occasions such as weddings, cocktail parties and for some this serves as a very chic official/ semi-official wear.

"Ankara" is no longer solely used to make attires ... it has diversified into accessories, shoes, bags, and even umbrellas who would have thought!

One can pair Ankara accessories with all types of dresses, jeans, printed/patterned blouses and much more...be careful however of very bold patterns seeing as the accessories are already pretty detailed.

Different styles of rocking the fabulous "Ankara" ...
